We’ll help you succeed

This position is for a semi senior with experience in audit data analytics using tools such as Alteryx, IDEA, ACL & Power BI etc. You will be expected to become familiar with existing tools and analytics routines and assist in the development of additional routines that will form a library of templated solutions that can then be flexed to specific requirements. The analytics in this arena will frequently be data from the financial sub ledgers, payroll systems and industry specific solutions that would require close liaison with the audit teams and client.

You’ll also:

  • To understand existing data analysis techniques within the firm and how and when they can be deployed.
  • To work with other members of the data analytics team and audit teams to identify and develop end to end data analytics solutions that are not covered within the existing tooling.
  • To create semi-templated solutions to which analytics may be surfaced including injections into Excel and Power BI. 
  • Develop solutions so that they include data integrity and quality checks within the process to detect challenges with supplied data.
  • Assist in the resolution of data issues that arise following extraction and initial analysis with our audit teams and clients.
  • Create supporting documentation of the processes and tooling applied for audit documentation purposes and so that it can be repeated for future clients. 
  • Assist in the facilitation of workshops and discussions to obtain ideas and requirements from the user community  
  • Assist in the preparation of guidance material that will be deployed to the users.

  • Essential:  A passion for and experience of ‘hands on’ Audit Data Analytics.
  • Essential: Knowledge of analytics tools such as IDEA, Alteryx, ACL etc
  • Essential:  Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Essential: Knowledge of financial accounting concepts, processes and transaction cycles. 
  • Very desirable: Financial Audit experience or experience of engaging with audit teams.
  • Very desirable: Experience of working in a Professional practice.
  • Very desirable: Knowledge of data visualisation tools such as PowerBI, Qlikview.
  • Very desirable: Knowledge of analytics scripting in VB, SQL, Python etc
