Within the last year we have increased our headcount significantly, invested in new partners, and commenced a significant investment programme in our Audit Quality Directorate.

This is an opportunity for talented, high performing and ambitious Senior Manager to join the Team name in the Audit Quality Directorate (AQD) in an exciting period and help to shape the role and the expanding team. You will report into the the Audit Methodology Partner and work closely with Audit Methodology Director.

We’ll help you succeed

The work we do is underpinned by quality. We deliver audits which are trusted and transparent which can be relied upon by companies and their stakeholders.

You’ll be someone who is comfortable working pro-actively and, managing your own tasks, as well as confident collaborating with others and communicating regularly with Senior Managers, Directors, and BDO’s Partners. You’ll help deliver accurate and transparent reporting to all relevant stakeholders as you provide long term value. 

We recognise the critical role that auditors have in supporting global transition to net zero, and are recruiting for a Senior Manager within our Technical Standards Group, who will be fully focused on Climate change and sustainability matters.

This role provides a unique chance to shape our Climate risk & sustainability audit strategy, including developing new methodology and supporting a number of exciting projects across audit, financial reporting and sustainability assurance.  Although the role is focused on audit and financial reporting, you will be part of the wider BDO ESG professional network, which provides opportunities to collaborate with ESG advisory and assurance teams in the UK and globally. 

You’ll be someone,

• Interested to have a purposeful career and use your skills and experience to positively contribute to one of the most pressing problems of our time
• with ACA or similar professional accountancy qualification
• who considers themselves an expert with regards to the UK and international auditing standards
• who understanding of sustainability regulatory environment and industry reporting frameworks such as TCFD, ISSB, Green Taxonomy and GHG Protocol
• ideally with experience in sustainability/environmental related field (not essential)
