Business Development Assistant (French)

International Institutions and Donor Assurance (IIDA) works closely with global institutions such as UN agencies, the European Commission, Foundations and other Development Agencies, particularly those involved in international development. IIDA provides assurance services, including financial and systems audits, certifications, internal control assessments, technical assistance, and consultancy services to international institutions

You’ll be someone who is both comfortable working proactively and managing your own tasks, as well as confident collaborating with others and communicating regularly with senior managers, directors, and BDO’s partners to help businesses effectively. You’ll be encouraged to identify and draw attention to opportunities for enhancing our delivery and providing additional services to organisations we work with.

The Global Business Development team within the IIDA department provides assistance to the IIDA and IFI offices in various ways in order to win new work and clients. This includes Identifying new opportunities for work, assisting in preparation and submission of bids, identifying new experts, collaborating with other BDO offices andproviding tools and guidance to assist in different aspects of business development. In this role you’ll:

  • Ensure all bids are submitted on time and meet all the submission requirements
  • Ensure proof of submission is kept and sent to the respective IIDA contract teams, as appropriate
  • Ensure all final bids submitted are saved on the network/SharePoint as appropriate
  • Ensure the tender control schedule is updated for all bids submitted and new opportunities
  • Assist in preparing bids – formatting CVs, merging documents and editing materials
  • Obtain approval of the respective Partner/Director for all finalised documents prior to submission
  • Liaise with print room and design room for all deliverables, as appropriate
  • Carry out the conflict of interest checks for new IIDA opportunities
  • Provide any other assistance required by bid teams and as directed by the GBDG team members

You’ll be someone with:

  • ·Bachelor’s degree or equivalent or commensurate relevant experience in business administration
  • Previous experience in an office environment
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Commitment to working flexibly in a team
  • Fluency in French and/or Spanish (desirable)
