The BDO Early Careers Resourcing team is responsible for hiring circa 700 students into our four key programmes each year; Graduates, Apprentices, Interns and Summer School. The Early Careers Resourcing function plays a critical role in ensuring the firm is attracting and selecting high quality, diverse candidates who have the potential to become the firm’s future Leaders. Our goal is to provide a seamless, experience to both candidates applying for our programmes and our internal stakeholders; adding value at every stage of the process.

We are seeking a proactive and enthusiastic candidate to join our team of resourcing experts in the Early Careers Team. Reporting into the Resourcing Management team, the role will expose you to all facets of the Early Careers Resourcing function. You will manage the end-to-end Early Careers recruitment needs across London and our Regional Offices. You’ll also be responsible for supporting us in the development and implementation of a recruitment strategy which supports the hiring needs of each of our business streams, ensuring robust and future focused hiring decisions, alongside an invested and inspiring candidate experience. And just as importantly, we will support and encourage you to develop your own skills and expertise, giving you the tools and opportunity to build your own external brand and be an expert in this space.  

You’ll also:

  • Be THE trusted resourcing expert for your business areas. Educating and advising your stakeholders so they have a full understanding of the Early Careers process and timelines and the important role they will play within that
  • Manage the end-to-end Early Careers recruitment process for your designated business areas.
  • Develop a full understanding of the key drivers in the Business areas you look after and proactively work with your stakeholders to ensure Early Careers activity supports these through ensuring a robust sourcing and selection process.
  • Actively support the Early Careers attraction strategy through partnering with Early Careers marketing specialists, representing the BDO Early Careers brand at careers fairs and developing effective partnerships with our University and Schools.
  • Support on a strategic and proactive use of social media channels – positioning BDO as an employer of choice in everything you do.
  • Demonstrate proactive candidate pipeline management throughout the recruitment season to ensure we are reaching the best talent and offering an effective and inspiring candidate experience.
  • Work closely with HR Services and the Professional Qualifications team to ensure a smooth on-boarding process for all Trainees joining the firm.
  • Build your own external profile in the sector and support analysis of competitor behaviour to ensure we are best in class in the market place.

  • Experience of managing high volume recruitment / multiple recruitment programmes  - bring your industry to ours; we’re open to all backgrounds, not just Professional Services so bring us your difference – we’re ready to embrace it!
  • Sound knowledge of and a clear demonstrable passion for the ever-changing resourcing and candidate landscape – if you understand what a great recruitment process looks like, and can translate this to a positive and invested candidate experience we’d love you on the team.
  • A good understanding of Recruiting best practice – can demonstrate strong process and pipeline management skills
  • Excellent communication skills with the confidence to interact with colleagues and stakeholders at various levels and to engage an audience
  • Well-developed relationship building skills with expertise in managing stakeholder expectations and influencing robust hiring decisions – we’ll look to you to support our colleagues in ensuring we source the very best talent to drive the firm forwards.
  • Recognition and demonstrated experience of effective candidate management.
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent, with previous relevant experience gained within the Resourcing space.
  • Confident using MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).
  • Previous experience of working with an Applicant Tracking System (ATS)
