We’ll broaden your horizons

This role is suitable for a highly-skilled, forward-thinking HR Manager to embed our new People Manager Accreditation programme and support a journey to overhaul our approach to performance management. Our key objective is to ensure our new approach:

  • Sets individuals, People Managers and teams up for success
  • Aligns and enables our values, core purpose, strategy and long term strategic activity
  • Supports performance and growth targets

You will work strategically with the business and partner with the HR Generalist Team (SHRMs, HRMs, HRAs) across the firm to apply leading-edge expertise in performance management and talent measurements. Supporting the roll out and embedding of a new performance management approach through educating and empowering our 1,500 People Manager (including Partners) cohort

In this role you’ll also:

  • Bring to life and embed our new PM Accreditation programme in support of our refreshed performance management approach;
  • Design and deliver a training programme for People Managers; which will be cascaded to all PMs across the firm, including Accreditation and continuous development within the performance year.
  • Apply change management principles to educate and empower the business in order to adopt the new performance management approach and build on the momentum to embed a continuous feedback culture;
  • Ensure quality throughout the whole process - from training People Managers on how to have meaningful career conversations to ensuring objectives are SMART and appropriate;
  • Progress a review of our current People Manager activities, including communicating the expectations of the role, setting the span of control, reviewing training requirements and delivering ongoing communication via our monthly PM Newsletter;
  • Analyse large amounts of data, including reviewing the quality of objectives set across the firm, ensuring training records are reviewed and stress test the new approach to ensure process is being followed client service.
  • Support in the application of our Identifying and Development Potential (IDP) tool, in order to map talent and work strategically with our Head of Workforce Planning and People Development (PD) team to identify skills gaps;
  • Provide a link between our Early In Career (EIC) activity and People Managers, including understanding PMs skill requirements and training for the new intake;
  • Work with our Transformation Team to ensure all performance and PM activity is underpinning the Firm’s Values and in support of the key messages;
  • Embed our core purpose – ensuring Helping You Succeed is central to the performance management approach.

  • Experience of working in a large organisation or professional services firm;
  • Recent experience as a HR Manager
  • Proven experience as a credible and assertive subject mater expert across all level of seniority;
  • A proven track record of delivering performance and talent management solutions across a complex business structure;
  • Strong experience of supporting change management activities
  • Robust experience of managing complexed projects with multiple stakeholder
  • Proven experience in designing and delivering training
