You’ll be someone who can work pro-actively, managing your own tasks, but you’ll also be confident collaborating with others, communicating regularly with senior managers, Directors, and BDO’s Partners to enable us to serve our clients effectively.  You’ll be encouraged to identify and draw attention to opportunities for enhancing our delivery and providing additional services to our clients.

As an Assistant Manager in the Financial Services Advisory (Internal Audit) team, you'll have the opportunity to work on a variety of engagements, gaining experience in planning and delivering internal audit assignments and on regulatory advisory engagements with a particular focus on credit.  You’ll

  • Create, manage and deliver internal IT audit reviews and regulatory assurance

  • Support Senior Management to develop and deliver the annual internal audit plan

  • Lead relationships with key internal stakeholders.

  • Represent BDO at client meetings and attending senior management committee

You’ll be someone with:

  • Experience of delivering financial service IT internal audit and reporting to Audit Committees/Regulatory assurance

  • Breadth of internal audit, second line assurance or advisory assignments relating to IT conversant with regulatory requirements, control risks, controls

  • Qualified in Accountancy or internal audit and/or memberships, that is, ICAEW, CIMA, CIIA, ACCA etc or relevant industry qualifications is preferred

  • Functional knowledge of the UK regulations with deeper knowledge of credit

  • Analytical problem solver who can present information clearly and concisely

  • Sound technical knowledge of financial products and / or customer-facing regulation

  • Significant experience of internal audit or regulatory assurance experience
