Operations and Resourcing Assistant - Financial Services

The Resourcing and Operations team are responsible for the oversight of the resourcing model for the department which enables effective planning of the appropriate resource on the required projects. Key areas include responding to requests for changes in resource requirements in a timely manner by proposing possible solutions or escalating where appropriate. As well as longer term resourcing support to identify shortfalls, capacity, resolve clashes and improve efficiencies.

You’ll be someone who can work pro-actively, managing your own tasks, but you’ll also be confident collaborating with others, communicating regularly with senior managers, Directors, and BDO’s Partners to enable us to serve our clients effectively.  You’ll be encouraged to identify and draw attention to opportunities for enhancing our delivery and providing additional services to our clients.

Working in our Financial Services Operations team, this key role will assist with the coordination of resourcing for this department. The role will focus on the allocation and prioritisation of resourcing needs for the audit department including editing resourcing requests from multiple stakeholders across the department.

The role will include day-to-day tasks, project work and ad hoc requests. The role is an important part of the department to provide an efficient, effective and professional resourcing coordination model to the team to deliver a quality audit project. 

You’ll be someone with:

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, and the ability to communicate with a number of key senior, partner stakeholders
  • The ability to work in a busy environment, to prioritise, and to be proactive
  • Strong IT skills with a high competence in MS Office (especially Excel, Word)
  • At least some previous administrative / data / project-based experience
  • Experience across any of these areas will be beneficial but not essential: Retain Enterprise, Workday, resourcing, professional services sector
