We’ll broaden your horizons

You will be working in partnership with our People Development team to deliver, design and implement key learning, development, talent and engagement needs across the firm. Working closely with the People Development Operations Team this role will also help deliver the firms core curriculum and our Pathway programmes, both in London and our regional learning hubs. This role will support all of our people, across all of our workstreams, with geographical oversight.  

This role combines talent development and stakeholder management to ensure we support the business with its focus on developing and nurturing innate talent in all our people. Our People Development Managers focus their time and energy on developing robust stakeholder relationships with our most senior and influential stream leads. Alongside that our PD Managers are the face of our firm-wide flagship talent programmes, managing and facilitating development/assessment centre style experiential development initiatives. Work across the whole ADDIE cycle to address key development priorities on a variety of skills, aligning to stream and regional growth plans

You’ll also:

  • Lead on and support the People Development team to deliver our flagship talent programmes and support our Core Curriculum events.
  • Be an advocate and role model for BDO, role modelling the culture and values and helping evolve and embed a robust learning culture.
  • Lead on firm wide initiatives to identify learning and development interventions to upskill and maximise the value our people offer.
  • Develop and grow solid relationships with key business stakeholders and be viewed as a trusted advisor, challenging, supporting and coaching as appropriate
  • Support People Development with firm wide initiatives to deliver learning and development interventions to upskill and maximise the value our people offer
  • Work with the other People Development Managers to share knowledge and best practice to deliver a consistent, exceptional service
  • Lead on the design, implementation and evaluation of firm wide frameworks and approaches within the Core Curriculum.
  • Manage a number of projects at one time, prioritising tasks and updating stakeholders as required.
  • Support the People Development team by delivering the Career Development Programmes and its Core Curriculum events
  • Actively provide feedback, as part of the 70:20:10 learning experience to encourage ongoing, meaningful conversations

  • Degree or equivalent Professional Qualification
  • Strong experience of stakeholder management
  • Experience of working with learning, development, engagement and talent strategies & frameworks
  • Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to interpret MI and make recommendations
  • Experience of facilitating/presenting at a senior level
  • Strong project management skills
  • Experience of developing and working with social learning, communities of common practice and learning networks
  • Significant experience in dealing with and influencing a variety of stakeholders
  • Strong communication skills, demonstrating clear ability to influence and have impact with credibility
  • Interpersonal skills
  • Collaboration skills
