Growing up in rural Ireland, Alistair's early life was defined by hard work and responsibility on his family's dairy farm. Despite facing challenges due to dyslexia, he developed a keen interest in science and mathematics, which set the foundation for his future career. Alistair's father, an avid pedigree breeder, instilled in him a strong work ethic and a passion for problem-solving. These formative years on the farm taught Alistair the importance of perseverance and adaptability, skills that would later prove invaluable in his professional life.

After a transformative year in New Zealand, he returned home with a newfound sense of independence and a commitment to himself to work out what was next for his career, and life. Despite initial setbacks in sales, Alistair's determination led him to discover his passion for technology and a career in IT. He immersed himself in learning, obtaining numerous certifications and developing a deep understanding of IT systems. His unique perspective, shaped by his neurodivergent traits, allowed him to see solutions where others saw obstacles, ultimately leading him to a fulfilling career at BDO.
