Accounting isn’t what you think it is… Over two weeks, you’ll gain an introduction to the world of audit, tax, and advisory, learn more about BDO, and discover what makes careers in accounting beyond the ordinary!
Informative online modules and interactive quizzes help you make informed career decisions, learn useful skills, and explore your career opportunities. And when you’re done, you’ll receive a personalised certificate and further engagement and learning opportunities. You can start driving your career at any time – our virtual work experience programme is available to students from 13 years old.

If you’re in your first year of university and meet our criteria, join us to discover what life in accounting really looks like. Over three days, you’ll gain an understanding of audit, tax, and advisory in sessions where you’ll engage directly with our specialists. It could even lead to an offer of a summer internship with us, or a paid role as a university Brand Ambassador – like a career at BDO, the options are limitless. From work experience to a graduate programme
Stanley is a BDO Audit Trainee working within the Technology Risk Assurance department. He has been with BDO for a year, first joining the Black Heritage Insight programme whilst in his second year of university. Stanley successfully applied for a 6-week audit summer internship before joining full time in 2023 as a trainee.
