Employee Resource Groups at BDO | Be Yourself & Belong
At BDO, we believe that when people feel they can truly be themselves, they’re empowered to do their best work and build meaningful careers. That’s why we’ve created a vibrant collection of employee networks: spaces where individuals with shared backgrounds, identities, life experiences or interests can connect, grow, and support one another.
Inclusive Spaces for Everyone
Our networks are open to all, whether you’re part of the community, an ally, or simply curious and want to learn more. These groups are a core part of our Be Yourself ethos and help us build an inclusive, collaborative culture that reflects the world around us.
Whether it’s celebrating gender inclusivity through BDO Inspire, supporting those with disabilities or long-term illnesses through the Enabled Network, or exploring faith and identity through our Christian, Jewish, or Muslim Networks, every group offers opportunities to connect, learn, and make a real impact.

Creating Community Through PRIDE
One example is PRIDE, our LGBTQ+ network, which fosters a safe and open environment for conversations around sexual orientation and gender identity. As Will Barr, an Audit Trainee, shared:
"I joined the PRIDE network to feel a greater sense of community in a regional office. I knew I wanted to make an impact beyond audit and to support marginalised individuals which is made possible on the network committee. The network offers unwavering support on a range of levels, from monthly coffee catchups to celebratory events which raise awareness and promote diversity across all streams."
Championing Representation, Balance, and Giving Back
We’re also proud to host networks like CEDAR (Celebrating Ethnic Diversity and Races), which aims to amplify voices and increase representation across our business; the Working Parents and Carers Network, offering support and resources for those balancing personal and professional responsibilities; and the Trustee Network, which enables colleagues to use their 5+5 Citizenship days to give back to their communities.
Putting Belonging into Practice
These networks not only create safe spaces but also help shape policies, host events, deliver training, and provide mentoring. They contribute directly to our Unifying Culture strategy and help ensure that everyone, regardless of background or identity, can grow and feel supported. At BDO, belonging isn’t just a promise, it’s something we put into practice every day, through our people and our actions.
Be Yourself and Belong at BDO
If you’re looking for a place where you can bring your whole self to work, be part of a vibrant community, and contribute to something meaningful, BDO is that place. Join us, be yourself, and together we’ll create a culture where everyone can thrive.
