Project Officer - 12 Month Contract

We’ll help you succeed

The International Projects Group (IPG) sits within the International Institutions and Donor Assurance team part of BDO Advisory. The team specialises in delivering multi-year, multi-disciplinary technical assistance projects funded by donor organisations including the World Bank, UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office, and the UN. Most of our work is delivered in emerging or developing markets

As a Project Officer ( up to 12 month fixed term contract) you’ll provide administrative support to business development activities and existing projects across the International Projects Group (IPG). You’ll also support on managing some of the operational administration duties . At present this role will work with 3 sub teams, the Public Financial Management and Governance, Economic Development and the Aid Oversight team

You’ll be someone with

  • A demonstrable interest in international development e.g. previous work and/or/volunteering experience.

  • Experience in a coordination or support role 

  • Degree educated in related field to international development would be an advantage

  • Excellent communication skills in English and the ability to work in a multi-national, multi-cultural environment.

  • Other languages, and particularly French or Arabic, would be an asset.  

  • Strong organisational skills with a high attention to detail obtained within a project setting

  • Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills 

  • The ability to take ownership of issues, either finding a solution or seeking advice where necessary.
