Senior Brand Manager

The BDO Corporate Affairs team – which comprises PR, Public Affairs and brand strategy - is responsible for protecting and promoting BDO’s reputation through the media, with politicians and other stakeholders.   Sitting behind this is the one story that we communicate to all our audiences.  This is where our brand strategy comes in.

The work we do is underpinned by quality. We deliver audits which are trusted and transparent which can be relied upon by companies and their stakeholders.

You’ll be someone who is comfortable working pro-actively and, managing your own tasks, as well as confident collaborating with others and communicating regularly with Senior Managers, Directors, and BDO’s Partners. You’ll help deliver accurate and transparent reporting to all relevant stakeholders as you provide long term value. 

Our new strategy to 2028 sets out how we intend to grow by working together, winning together and valuing each other.  We are looking for a Senior Brand Manager to develop BDO’s brand strategy and work within the business to ensure it is communicated effectively, someone who will help us tell that story with creativity and passion.

Our brand’s importance to our future growth cannot be underestimated. We know that an authentic and well-crafted brand is critical for business success.

Brand is more than the logo or a tagline. It is a distinct fingerprint that distinguishes us from our competition. Our brand is an incredibly important asset which enables us to be attractive to current and future clients, referrers and employees. We know that brand building excels at driving long-term growth and profit.

As part of an experienced and well-respected Corporate Affairs team, you will work closely and collaboratively with them as well as our marketing team, design team, recruitment team and internal communications team to achieve the following:

  • Develop a compelling brand story based on the firm foundations we have currently
  • Enable us to tell that story through all our owned and earned communication channels
  • Oversee the story telling and online presence that sits behind out suite of annual reports
  • Understand and monitor the health of our brand overseeing reporting and measurement metrics.

You'll be someone with:

  • Demonstrable experience in a senior brand role ideally in the financial services or professional services sector
  • Passion about delivering a creative and distinctive brand strategy which separates BDO from the crowd
  • Analytical capability: Strong competency in brand tracking, market research methodologies, and insight synthesis
  • Stakeholder management: Demonstrated success in influencing and collaborating with senior leadership and cross-functional teams
  • Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex strategic concepts clearly to a wide range of audience types
  • Project management: Experience leading multiple projects simultaneously with strong attention to detail and deadline management
  • Has strong commercial awareness and a good understanding of the theory of brand
  • Has high expectations of themselves and is a true team player
