Overview

As aThird partyAssuranceAssistant Manager within our Risk Advisory Services (RAS) team, you will play a key role in deliveringhighqualityassuranceengagements for a diverse range of clients. You will take responsibility for leading defined engagements or workstreams, supporting engagement planning and delivery, and ensuring work is completed to a high standard in line with BDOmethodology, and the relevant global assurance standards for each project.

You will work closely with Managers, Senior Managers, Directors and Partners, building trusted client relationships and contributing to the effective delivery of engagements. Alongside this, you will support the development of junior team members and continue to build your technical capability, professional judgementand leadership skills as you progress towards Manager level.

The role combines engagement and portfolio management withhandsondelivery. Typically, you will spend around 50% of your time on management activities;such as engagement planning, portfoliooversightand project management,and 50% leading audits and undertaking specialist assignments, with this balance flexing in line with your experience and development.

You’llbe someone with

  • Relevantexperience indeliveringhigh-qualityThird PartyAssurance, controls-based and/or data assuranceengagementsfor a range of clients.

  • Experience delivering projects aligned to global assurance and auditing standards, with the ability to tailor work approaches appropriately; desirable knowledge would include an understanding or awareness of ISAE 3000, ISAE 3402 and ISRS 4400.

  • Experience in risk management and controls testing, with the ability to apply this knowledge pragmatically across different client environments

  • An inquisitive and proactive mindset, with the confidence to challenge constructively, think critically about risks and controls, and contribute ideas that enhance quality and ways of working.

  • A recognised professional qualification, for example ACA, ACCA or equivalent, alongside strong written and verbal communication skills and the confidence to engage effectively with clients and stakeholders.

  • Good organisational andtime managementskills, with the ability to manage multiple assignments and contribute to the delivery of a small portfolio of client engagements under manager oversight.

  • A collaborative anddevelopment focusedapproach, with an interest in supporting and coaching junior team members, flexibility to travel to client sites asrequired, and an interest in using data analytics or emergingAIenabledaudit techniques.
