You’ll be someone who is both comfortable working proactively and managing your own tasks, as well as confident collaborating with others and communicating regularly with senior managers, directors, and BDO’s partners to help businesses effectively. You’ll be encouraged to identify and draw attention to opportunities for enhancing our delivery and providing additional services to organisations we work with.

Operating out of 8 locations across the UK, we cover all of the major business centres while offering local expertise to local firms. Our growing business now comprises approximately 150 people who are encouraged to be themselves, bringing personality and authenticity to our professional environment. 

We are looking to recruit at Assistant Manager level to join our expanding BDO Digital team. Your aim would be to grow further our portfolio of cyber consulting work. The role will typically focus on managing and delivering cyber advisory work, assisting clients to understand and communicate their cyber risk and support them in achieving their desired cyber risk profile. As experts on cyber risk, the BDO Digital team advises clients across industries and geographies, staying at the forefront of knowledge of the threat landscape, cyber defence best practices and regulatory expectations. We are a growing service line and encourage our team members to be innovative and identify opportunities for new services that they can build, lead and take to market.

You'll be someone with:

• Extensive and demonstrable experience within consulting and or cyber security

• A qualification, either at degree level or certification such as CISSP or CISM, in cyber security is highly desirable

• Experience in working with clients e.g., leading workshops and report writing

• Ability to build sustainable relationships and networks with team members and with clients 

• Experience managing teams with a passion for developing other self and others 

• Strong analytical skills to recognise trends and themes in technical findings

• Strong communication skills (both written and oral) and first-rate interpersonal skills at all levels. Proven experience in explaining technological concepts and risks to non-technological audiences

• Ability to managed team performance and delivery within agreed timeframe, budgets and key financial metrics

• Strong presentation skills, specifically to senior stakeholders
