Our growing Digital and Risk Advisory Services (DRAS) team deliver internal audit, advisory and Third-Party Assurance (TPA) engagements to a wide range of clients. Our growing TPA team help build trust between our clients and their stakeholders through providing independent assurance over diverse subject matter from. “Trust” is a key pillar of our brand which underpins our organisational culture and how our clients perceive us in the market.

This role is all about delivering TPA engagements and related advice to a wide range of clients operating across a range of sectors and supporting them in preparing to meet upcoming reporting and assurance requirements. It is an opportunity for an experienced individual with strong assurance and consulting skills to help them fulfil their obligations to wider stakeholders. Building on your existing knowledge of TPA reporting standards (ISAE 3000, ISAE 3402, ISAE 3410, AAF 01/20, SOC1/2, ISRS 4400 etc), we will invest in developing your understanding of what it really means for our client’s businesses so that you can deliver assurance and advice that is meaningful to our clients and fulfilling to you. The work you will undertake will be a mixture of independent assurance assessments of varying subject matter including complex criteria and requirements, as well as forward looking advisory projects to help clients succeed in preparedness for assurance in the future.  There will also be the opportunity for Involvement in ESG related assurance due to evolving assurance standards and the regulatory reporting landscape.

You will be involved in overseeing multiple concurrent projects with teams of varying sizes, supporting clients at varying stages of their reporting journey under the various international and localised reporting standards ensuring clients reporting is subject to independent assurance in line with quality requirements.

You will be leading projects and supporting the overall growth of our TPA team and delivery capabilities and have the opportunity to work with a wide variety of clients. You will play an important role in developing and maintaining deep client relationships and in developing members of the BDO team. You will have the opportunity to further develop specialist sub sector, technical and regulatory knowledge and be involved in both business and team development. 

To be successful in this role you will need will have the following skills and experience:

  • External or internal audit or regulatory assurance or advisory work experience
  • Experience in delivering work under recognised assurance standards (ISAE 3000, ISAE 3402, ISAE 3410, AAF 01/20, SOC1/2 etc) and the ability to review varying subject matter & criteria to determine appropriate assurance approach
  • Have undertaken complex and large assurance assignments and have an understanding of review methodologies and techniques including assignment planning and risk assessments
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written), ability to influence, lead, engage, and manage stakeholders
  • Ability to lead complex reviews including managing a team of managers and junior staff members, performing final review of files, key deliverables and ensuring file quality meets assurance, ISQM1 and internal requirements for quality.
