We’re BDO. An accountancy and business advisory firm, providing the advice and solutions entrepreneurial organisations need to navigate today’s changing world.

We work with the companies that are Britain’s economic engine – ambitious, entrepreneurially-spirited and high‑growth businesses that fuel the economy - and directly advise the owners and management teams that lead them.

We’ll broaden your horizons

Our greatest asset is our people, so our HR team focus on ensuring we are all reaching our potential. They use their specialist expertise to help us attract great talent, enable our employees to succeed and inspire a unified culture of development across our firm. By playing a role in the recruitment and management of our people, they help change lives and influence the future of BDO. Join a driven and passionate team where you can be yourself, while also helping your colleagues to achieve their ambitions.

We’ll help you succeed

Leading organisations trust us because of the quality of our advice. That quality grows from a thorough understanding of their business, and that understanding comes from working closely with them and building long-lasting relationships.

You’ll be someone who is both comfortable working proactively and managing your own tasks, as well as confident collaborating with others and communicating regularly with senior managers, directors, and BDO’s partners to help businesses effectively. You’ll be encouraged to identify and draw attention to opportunities for enhancing our delivery and providing additional services to organisations we work with.

The BDO Resourcing team works in collaboration with the rest of the HR department to deliver end to end strategic and innovative resourcing solutions to attract top talent for the firm. There are 3 key areas within the Resourcing function; Non-Payroll, Experienced Hire & Early in Career.

This role works specifically within the Non-Payroll function, focusing on the on-boarding and off-boarding of workers, organising compliance, contracts and supporting the business in this area. You will work closely with the NPL Manager and Assistant Manager, to ensure that the firm is compliant with all relevant policies, regulations and legislation for Non-Payroll requests. You’ll also:

  • Act as the first point of contact for all queries regarding non-payroll resourcing
  • Managing requests via Service Now and central inboxes
  • Ensure that all requests are actioned in a timely manner and that any escalations are followed up
  • Organise and facilitate meetings internally and with suppliers, completing all relevant documentation and ensure that minutes are circulated
  • Ensure that hiring managers receive regular and timely updates on the status of requested actions
  • Be responsible for issuing various documentation, as well as managing response and ensuring a clear audit trail
  • Co-ordinate start dates and set up on HR systems as well as the Supplier Set-up teams
  • Own the day to day use of both the Consultancy and the Screening Portal
  • Keep all folders and files, auditable and up to date with GDPR legislation
  • Ensure pre-emptive resolution is made ahead of all contract end dates
  • Take ownership for tasks and see them through to completion in line with SLA’s
  • Support on the implementation and delivery of non-payroll projects
  • Ensure everything is fully tracked, that all systems are fully utilised and always kept up to date
  • Ensure all approvals and documents are stored centrally and are always auditable
  • Review adoption of new processes and how these can be rolled out, in partnership with the rest of the Non-Payroll Team
  • Conduct risk assessment for all requests and escalate as necessary
  • Build on relationships with our key suppliers to keep up to date with market trends and changes – ensure supplier compliance
  • Provide updates to the business where required and develop internal stakeholder relationships
  • Provide support and guidance to other members of the Resourcing and HR function as appropriate
  • Oversee background checking process with our third-party supplier
  • Identify and develop potential improvements of the Non-Payroll process to ensure the most efficient processes at all times

You’ll be someone with:

  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proactive approach and able to prioritise and manage high volumes of work
  • The ability to adapt style when delivering to various levels, methods and audiences
  • Solid administration experience (ideally gained either in a compliance, HR, recruitment or professional services environment) with ability to multitask a varied and high workload
  • Previous experience of working on Service Now, Workday and managing busy inboxes
  • Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook and Powerpoint).
  • Previous experience of tracking data on multiple spreadsheets and keeping them up to date with accurate and precise information
  • Non-payroll/contractor recruitment (desirable)
  • Experience of working in a large, complex organisation preferred - professional services or finance ideal but not essential
