You’ll be encouraged to identify and draw attention to opportunities for enhancing our delivery and providing additional services to organisations we work with.

The Product Manager forms part of the Digital Product Management Team within the IT department and reports into the Head of Digital Product Management. You will manage a portfolio of digital Products in close collaboration with relevant Business Product Owners and be responsible for their through-life management and improvement.

You will be working with Product Teams to deliver exceptional Digital Products which customers love. We need an individual who understands the Product Management role inside and out, who is looking to deploy their experience by supporting our firm in a transition to becoming Product Led.

The role will require lots of energy, self-confidence and a desire to be a product evangelist, understanding the benefits of adopting a Product led, agile delivery approach, and being able to convey this to other areas of our firm.

In this role, you’ll:

• Ensure the successful day-to-day operation, direction and value of the Digital Products within your ownership
• Lead one of our internal Product teams to deliver meaningful business outcomes
• Liaise between Business Product Owners, Development Engineers and User Experience specialists to ensure value to customers and end users
• Ensure that a best practice approach to Product is adopted through education and evangelism
• Become the end-to-end expert on the Products for which you are responsible, including both organisational and technology considerations
• Manage and maintain a product backlog, evaluating and prioritising product opportunities
• Support the Business Product Owner with Product Strategy decisions
• Ensure that planned product development incorporates all drivers for change, including end-user requests, feature enhancements and supportability improvements
• Propose, manage and analyse Product KPIs and Metrics to ensure ongoing and increased user engagement
• Maintain market knowledge and ensure the Product continues to meet users' needs
• Have the ability to develop a good high-level understanding of the technologies being used within the products you will be responsible for.

You’ll be someone with:

• A successful track record as a Digital Product Manager
• Prior experience of working in an Agile Delivery team, leading or participating in delivery rituals such as daily scrums, retrospectives, backlog grooming and prioritisation
• Experience using a work management toolset such as Azure DevOps or Jira
• Experience in carrying out Product and Feature discovery, capturing requirements and creating user stories
• Experience of deploying automated testing to ensure speed to market for new Product features and fixes
• Experience working within an environment where operational support for Products through automated monitoring of code and systems is part of the culture (SRE/DevOps)
• Possess a clear understanding of the role of Product Operations and its importance in developing Product Management excellence within an organisation
