Overview

Join us as a Client Portfolio Manager and take charge of a diverse range of clients. You'll manage the day-to-day operations, ensuring top-notch quality in bookkeeping, VAT Returns, and management accounts. Your analytical skills will shine as you spot anomalies and offer solutions, both internally and to clients. Stay ahead with the latest software tools and be the go-to contact for clients, building strong relationships and helping them make sense of their financial data. Collaborate with your team and colleagues to deliver exceptional service, meeting all deadlines with high standards. You'll also tackle ad hoc projects and manage conflicting requirements with maturity.

We're looking for someone with experience in financial outsourcing, excellent communication skills, and a knack for problem-solving. Strong organisational skills are a must, along with a passion for strategic business advice and technology. A professional accounting qualification is desirable but not essential. If you're proactive, ambitious, and efficient with software technologies, we want you on our team.

Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of a portfolio of clients, manage the day to day running of the portfolio including reviewing transactional bookkeeping, preparing, and reviewing VAT Returns and management accounts and ensure quality work is delivered by key deadlines  
  • Utilise analytical skills to review data for anomalies and provide solutions both internally and to clients 
  • Maintain up to date knowledge of various software applications and tools 
  • Be an external point of contact to clients, building strong relationships, offering support, and helping them to understand and use their financial information 
  • Collaboration with team members and colleagues across the form to deliver exceptional client service 
  • Ensure all client and internal monthly, quarterly and year end deliverables are completed to a high-quality standard and deadlines met 
  • Perform ad hoc analysis, projects and attend client premises as requested  
  • Ability to manage conflicting requirements in a mature and effective manner. 

You’ll be someone with: 

  • Proven experience in financial outsourcing or a related field 
  • Effective communication and relationship-building skills with all stakeholders 
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities 
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. 
  • A passion for delivering strategic business advice, looking to utilise technology to add value to our services and be seen as a key advisor by our clients. 
  • A proactive and ambitious attitude 
  • Efficiency with a range of software technologies 
  • Professional accounting qualification (CA / ACCA / CIMA) – Desirable but not essential
